Asylum Application
The LAW OFFICE OF AMIE D. MILLER has successfully represented applicants for asylum from all over the world with their applications before the Department of Homeland Security (formerly the "INS"), Immigration Court, Board of Immigration Appeals and Federal Court.
We have successfully represented clients with claims for asylum based on sexual orientation, political opinion, religion, gender issues, ethnicity, national origin, conscientious objection to military policies or recruitment, and more.
Special Issues
We have also successfully presented applications with special issues including exceptions to the one year bar, firm resettlement in another country, criminal issues and others.
Petitions for Relatives
After the application is approved, we assist clients with petitions for spouses and children under 21.
Permanent Residence
Once the successful asylum applicant has resided continuously in the United States for a year after the asylum approval, we assist with applications for permanent residence based on asylee status, and waivers of inadmissibility, if required.
